On 16 June 2025, the Akani Simbine Foundation proudly alongside the Dischem Foundation supported the Humanitarian Empowerment Fund’s Suzuki 7s Rugby Tournament at Claremont Primary School—a vibrant celebration of youth, sport, and potential.

The energy on the field was electric as young athletes put their speed, strength, and teamwork on full display. It was inspiring to watch the rising stars of tomorrow showcase their talent and passion—reminding us why we invest in sport at grassroots level.

As part of our Fuelling Future Champions program, we also recognised five deserving students from Tshwane University of Technology pursuing sports-related degrees. Each received a grocery voucher and a pair of Adidas trainers to support them through their practicals. It’s our way of reminding them: you’re seen, you’re supported, and you’re doing great.

Moments like these keep us grounded in our mission—to uplift, empower, and believe in the power of youth.
